Sophie Carroll’s Mt. Huangshan, China is a mystical landscape portrait of Chinese wildlife and nature. Sophie Carroll is a young photographer from Santa Fe, New Mexico, whose works have already received national recognition. Awarded a Scholastic Gold Key award for her photographic works, Carroll’s photographs have also been included in exhibitions in galleries and museums. This photograph was created during an excursion to Mt. Huangshan in China. This piece is part of a show at Turner Carroll Gallery co-curated by Judy Chicago.
