Caelum is Swoon’s autobiographical puppet prototype for the star of her feature film titled Sibylant Sisters. Swoon was awarded not one, but TWO Sundance Film fellowships for this film: a Director’s Fellowship and a Screenwriters Fellowship.The film will premier at major international film festivals in 2024. Caelum (after her given name, Caledonia) is a child whose childhood has been traumatic due to her parents being addicted to heroine and to a large degree absent from her life. Caelum realizes she must tap into her own magic skills in order to survive. This Caelum puppet is fully mobile, with coil skeleton for full movement capacity. It is one of Swoon’s most significant works.
