Karl Wirsum was one of the members of the Chicago collective known as The Hairy Who. His works ranged from sculpture to innovative 3-d printmaking and painting. Works by Wirsum are featured in Leslie Buchbinder’s film about The Hairy Who, as well as at The Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and Matthew Marks Gallery. Landfall Press was based in Chicago for more than thirty years, and had a close relationship with Wirusum, printing several editions for him.
