Alice Neel was one of the great painters of the 20th Century, and in recent years, exhibitions of her paintings have toured the top museums in the world, including the Pompidou, Bilboa, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Barbican, Orange County Museum of Art, and Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
Always in her own unique style, Neel drew out the most vulnerable aspects of her subjects. She painted some of the most notorious personae in art history, including Charles White, Andy Warhol, and numerous others. This editioned print is one of the rare available works on paper by Neel.
