Holly Roberts – Japanese Horse is a mixed media work, using the unique technique Holly developed, combining photography with painting. Roberts is one of New Mexico’s most revered contemporary artists, with a 40 year international exhibition history.
In 2018, The Griffin Museum of Photography, in Massachusetts, held the first retrospective of Holly Roberts’ work. Turner Carroll curated a simultaneous retrospective, and this work is one of the quintessential works in the Turner Carroll exhibition.
