Joseph Piccillo is an American artist best known for his black-and-white images of horses in motion. His dramatic compositions depict horses running and leaping through mid-air at foreshortened angles, creating the sense they are jumping out from the pictorial space and confronting the audience. Today, his works are in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, the Art Institute of Chicago, and The Museum of Modern Art in New York, among others. This print, EP I, was produced at Landfall Press in 1995. It measures 22 x 30″, is in very good condition, and is signed.
