Philip Guston is one of the most well known artists in the world, with his solo exhibition traveling to major museums throughout the U.S. and abroad. Rug is included in the permanent collection of The Whitney Museum of American Art, and he has had solo exhibitions at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Tate Modern in London, and numerous others.
