“Because we fear making enemies or singling ourselves out, we often silence ourselves. But no matter how strong our beliefs are, if we voice them only to our closest friends and supporters we’ll never have the chance to connect with others over an issue; we’ll never get the chance to find new allies, or take the first step to show others they can join us and mobilize for change.
