In support of the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation’s acquisition of Judy Chicago’s print archive, Turner Carroll Gallery presents this ten-minute film with narration by Tonya Turner Carroll featuring individual prints with detailed panoramas of their surfaces. Turner Carroll Gallery facilitated the purchase of the archive, and this film explores Chicago’s innovations, intentions, and historical context as it relates to that purchase and the subsequent Turner Carroll exhibition “Judy Chicago: A Revolution in Print.”

The spectacular set of the Dior Spring-Summer 2020 show

From this bird’s eye view of the Musée Rodin, discover the Judy Chicago’s installation, ‘The Female Divine’, was unveiled in January 2020 at the Dior haute couture Spring-Summer 2020 show. At the invitation of Maria Grazia Chiuri, the artist designed a spectacular set reproducing an immense goddess figure that she originally designed in the 1970s, but was never produced. In the words of the Creative Director of Dior women’s collections, “fashion and its mediatization in the contemporary context constitutes a unique framework for the transmission of stories that goes beyond clothing.”
