Eri Imamura Exhibition 2026

Eri Imamura is a rising star in contemporary art. She blends Japanese folk tales, Shinto mythological heroes and heroines, edgy Manga and Tatoo imagery, antique kimonos, ancient 22k and glass beadworking techniques, to create breathtaking sculptures. Her beaded sculptures hang on the wall as if they were clothing, reminding us of our own roles in protecting not only our own bodies, but the environment and our shared society, as well. What truths do we wear on the outside, and what realities does our skin reveal?

Eri is Japanese, and teaches at Tokyo’s top art university. Her works are avidly collected by museums in the U.S., as well. The Dallas Museum of Art, 21C,  and Crystal Bridges Museum are among the  first in the U.S. to collect her work, with numerous others internationally holding her works in their permanent collections.
